Bohol Light, the exclusive power provider in Tagbilaran City, unveiled a new Spot Bill system on February 19, 2025, to boost efficiency and customer experience. This upgrade offers instant billing statements, ensuring greater clarity and streamlined payment processing.

Bohol Light President and CEO Roel Z. Castro stated, “We understand that our customers value transparency and convenience. The new Spot Bill system is designed to provide them with the information they need in a clear and concise format.”

Instant billing statements

Utilizing a cutting-edge Spot Bill system, Bohol Light now provides customers instant billing statements immediately after meter readings. This upgrade eliminates delays, ensuring faster access to payment details and a more efficient billing experience.

Customers can now access clearer, more detailed billing statements that break down their energy usage, charges, and payment deadlines. The updated format, featuring a modernized layout, enhances transparency, making it easier to understand monthly consumption and costs.

Additionally, the Spot Bill system simplifies payments by allowing customers to settle their bills immediately upon receipt. With options for online transactions and third-party payment centers, the process is more convenient, reducing delays and minimizing the risk of late fees.

In 2024, Primelectric Holdings Inc. (PHI), a subsidiary of the Razon-led MORE Electric and Power Corp., acquired a 70% stake in Bohol Light.

To enhance service reliability and operational efficiency, PHI has committed to investing at least ₱1 billion in rehabilitating and modernizing Bohol Light’s distribution assets. This substantial capital injection aims to upgrade infrastructure, reduce power outages, and improve overall service quality for Tagbilaran City residents.
