Advancing the move to renewable energy
Work on the solar project kicks off this January, with completion anticipated by year-end. Construction is already underway and is set to wrap up in late 2025.
The Ajuy solar farm is expected to produce 94.32 gigawatt-hours of clean energy annually, supplying electricity to over 25,000 homes. It aligns with the Department of Energy’s goal of reaching 35% renewable energy by 2030 while boosting Iloilo’s economy and enhancing Panay Island’s power supply.
Solaris stated that this advances its goal of installing 1,000 MW of renewable energy over five years. The EPC contract with NEPC officially launches the Ajuy solar project as part of this initiative.
Solaris stated, “The project will also contribute to the economic growth of the Province of Iloilo and improve the power supply situation in the Panay Island.”
